Empowering African SMEs for Growth and Value Creation

In my role as an investor and operator, I look at African SMEs all day long, and I share insights on how African SMEs can create and grow value.

Why?

About Deji

I encounter more African SMEs daily than I imagined, and my goal is to inspire more successful SMEs in Africa through my writings, thoughts, shared experiences, and knowledge. Why do many companies struggle to grow? Why do they have a very short lifespan? Why are they not investible? Believe it or not, there is a lot of money looking for worthy investments, but unfortunately, such companies are in short supply.
My daily interaction with these businesses suggests this should not be the case. They require only a few tweaks to prepare them for growth and create significant economic profits for the major stakeholders, especially the founders. I put some of those encounters in my articles. Click here to learn more. I wrote Scaling for Success as the first of several interventions to support the growth of African SMEs. I’d like you to come with me on this journey.

I reported directly to Deji. At the time Deji controlled all IT related projects in Sub Sahara Africa. He took over the role at a stressful time in the industry and ensured that P&Gs distributors had adequate IT systems to handle the unpredicatable nature of doing business in Africa. Under Deji's leadership many milestones and industry firsts were achieved, from the fastest ERP implementations down to real time masterdata synchronisations. Hence I gladly recommend Deji
